For our Honey Orchid Oolong we highly recommend making short brews, Gong Fu style, for optimal flavour.
Boil fresh filtered water to 100℃. Use 4-8 gram tea leaves in your strainer or gaiwan using 150ml water for gaiwan or 200ml for a cup
8 steeps: 6s, 10s, 15s, 20s, 25s, 30s, 45s, 90s
Worry not if you don’t have traditional gong fu tea ware. You can easily use your strainer to steep in your cup, making several short steeps, or use a small teapot not using more than the recommended 150-200ml.
Porcelain is highly recommended though, for bringing out optimal flavour of the Orchid Oolong.
- 2nd and 3rd cup are the best! So don't stop after first cup. Keep brewing.
